A-Level Results 2023
Newtown High School is celebrating another set of successful A Level exam results. Headteacher Rob Edwards added, "I wish to congratulate our students on their 'strong' results."
Outstanding results from students include Georgia Powell, Head Girl, (three A*s and one A) who intends to go on to Liverpool University to study veterinary science, Head Boy, Matthew Watkin (three Bs and a C) who intends to go to Chester University to study Law, Libby Morris (three As and one B ) who will go on to Cardiff Met University to study Health and Social Care, Kate Soong (two As, one B and One C ) who intends to study Social Work at the University of Wolverhampton, Kimberley Williams (two Bs, 1 Merit and a one C) who is completing an apprenticeship and Sofia Morales (one A* and two As) who will go on to University College London to study Neuroscience.
Notable performances at AS level include Mia Davies (three As), Dylan Ramirez-Chavez (one A and three Bs) and Darcey Jones (two Bs and one C).
Mr Edwards further stated, "Our 2023 cohort of Sixth Form students have been an incredible year group and have contributed so much to our school community over the last 7 years. The students have worked extremely hard and shown incredible resilience during some very challenging conditions."
